Music and Narrative - part 1. This is the talk I would have delivered on Wednesday June 14th, if I had managed to get there. I have posted this immediately as a pdf file, found here, and as an mp3. This talk concerns the relationship between narrative and knowledge, the relationship between music and language, and therefore the inescapable musical qualities of narratives, that can make verisimilitude difficult.
